Mrs. Alene Deaton
First and foremost, I am a mother to two beautiful children. I have a 16 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. I enjoy raising them, going and watching them play sports, and seeing them grow into successful, responsible young people. I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, talking with friends, hanging out with my family, and furthering my education and knowledge. I am the librarian/media specialist at Lee Elementary School and I love being able to work with my students. I love to see their sweet, smiling faces come into the library every day. I love helping them find books and being excited about checking out new books. I love my job and look forward to a long career doing it.
Welcome to the LES Media Center
During Media Center lessons students are motivated and actively engaged in robotic and STEM lessons. They work together to code, build, design and create. They are immersed in technology and hands on materials that require them to complete multiple challenges and design solutions for real world problems.

Renaissance Home Connect
Renaissance Home Connect improves the school-to-home connection by allowing parents and students to log in to a website and view the student’s reading and math practice and progress towards goals. Access to online results promotes discussion between parents and students, which motivates students and can make reading and math practice even more effective. In addition, parents can specify up to six email addresses to receive automatic updates in English or Spanish on their student’s math and reading progress.
Searching for books with a corresponding Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360® quiz is easy with Accelerated Reader Bookfinder®. Students, teachers, parents, and librarians can search in English or Spanish using criteria such as ATOS book level or a Lexile™ measure, interest level, title, author, fiction/nonfiction, subject, award-winners, state lists, CCSS Exemplars, and more.
