All employees across Satsuma City Schools gathered for Institute Day at Steele Creek Lodge on Thursday, Aug. 1. Everyone left inspired, motivated, and ready for the new school year, which began Thursday, Aug. 8.

Mrs. Tallent and Mrs. Blake attended a week-long training at Airbus for the We WILL Build It Better Program.  This is the elementary portion of the We Build It Better program the high school participates in.  We are excited to launch career tech into our 5th and 6th grade classrooms through industry-designed, educator-developed curricular experiences that engage students in a work-like STEAM environment.

Satsuma City Schools proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Jason Golden as the new principal of Satsuma High School, following a unanimous decision by the Board of Education at a special meeting held Tuesday morning.

Last week, Satsuma Superintendent Dr. Timothy Guinn informed the board that he was being offered the superintendency at the Russellville City School System, a district he worked in for 22 years prior to coming to Satsuma.

08/10/2023 - Satsuma High School has been recognized by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) as a 2022 School of Distinction and Banner School Recipient for its Career Technical Education Program.

7/1/23 - As an undiscovered gem of K-12 education in southwest Alabama, Satsuma continues to build a tradition of achievement in academics, athletics and the arts as evidenced by Cognia Accreditation in 2022.

7/18/23 - The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced this week that Satsuma High School’s 2022-2023 volleyball team won a USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award.
